About Us

Mytown Technologies Ltd (The Company) own and operate a location-based directory, information, and booking platform. The Company is a technology and marketing company based in London.

We sell products and services to mainly SME’s (small and medium sized businesses) and organise promotions and marketing campaigns for them to promote their services.

Our team are office and home based, and we use cloud-based service providers to communicate and store personal information. All Company employees have read and understand our privacy policy.

The service providers we use are Office 365, Xero Accounting, Stripe Payments, Freshsales and Mailchimp The data you provide is stored on Mytown servers, Freshsales CRM, Mailchimp and in some instances Xero Accounting. The information stored here is only accessible by members of the Company. Your information will only be shared with a third-party organisation upon completion of a sales agreement, booking form, or an email confirmation.

How we share your information

Our service providers: sometimes, we share your information with our third-party service providers, who help us provide and support our services and other business-related functions. Our current service providers are Office 365, Xero Accounting, Stripe Payments, Freshsales and Mailchimp

Advertising Partners: We may partner with third party advertising networks and websites and display advertising on their networks and websites. We may share personal information with these partner sites this purpose. However, your information will only be shared with a third-party organisation upon completion of a sales agreement, booking form, written consent or an email confirmation.

Any competent law enforcement body, regulatory body, government agency, court, or other third party when we believe disclosure is necessary (a) as a matter of applicable law or regulation, (b) to exercise, establish, or defend our legal rights, or (c) to protect your vital interests or those of another person.

A potential buyer (and its agents and advisors) in the case of a sale, merger, consolidation, liquidation, reorganisation or acquisition.

Employees and members of the Company are forbidden to share personal information and use or access it outside of the organisation of the Company. All employees and members of the Company must accept the terms of this privacy agreement. All employees and members can only use the personal information for the Company services and only while employed or a member of the Company.

How we use your personal information

The Company may use your information to communicate with you to manage your account, invoices, keep you informed of offers and updates to the changes within our organisation and policies or to the product or service you have purchased. We occasionally use email marketing through Office 365, Xero Accounting, Stripe Payments, Freshsales and Mailchimp and will always offer the option to opt out of receiving this type of email by clicking on the opt out option or by contacting us directly via email

Retention of Data

All data we hold is with consent and stored securely on our service providers and audited through login credentials.

We retain personal information where we have an ongoing legitimate business or legal need to do so. Our retention periods will vary depending on the type of data involved

  • Whether we have a legal or contractual need to retain the data, for example financial accounts is 6 years
  • Whether the data is necessary to provide our services

Deletion of data

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise it or, if this is not possible (for example if your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
